Rodrigo Garcia is one of the most well-known author in contemporary theater with a strong interest on installation, design and video art. This Argentinian-Spanish director just presented a performance on Venetian streets that can not been unseen: NON RICONOSCERE LA NOSTRA NATURA (Something like Not recognize our own nature) which is a sort of humorous inner prision or jail-portable representation, based on Philip Guston paintings and customized by Bojana Nikodijevic. The performance is defined better in artist’s own words:
“I proposed to the actors to enter, live and suffer in these clothes-universe and play solitaire with a deck of cards in some public places in Venice. And to write. This was a laboratory almost exclusively literary each actor has written a text, which later was recorded on an mp3 and reproduced with headphones to people on the streets. The actors bring the content, the soul, the sense of performance: their ideas of social life, daily life of solitude “.
