Those handmade shoes by José Machado, a Portuguese initiative, took my breath away. What a great selection, colors, design! So much creativity and love for the materials deserve to be shared with everybody. Here’s a small video in which the artisan shows how he plies a hemp yarn. Don’t forget to visit his Etsy shop!

Hand Painted Type is a tear-dropping awareness campaign that points the need to recover hand-made publicity on Indian streets. I’ve seen in many places around the globe how dangerous can it the the homogenization of visual identity on the city due to economic costs. Images and lettering can also be endangered species!
What the guys here are asking is to make an ambitious register of painters around India and their ways to do a whole typo old-brush style. Later on, the image get converted into ttf or otf formats so any designer in the world can download it, use it and support local artisans to continue struggling against ugly vinyls. Isn’t this awesome? Share, share, share!

A while ago in London, I’ve met Romain Albertini with his candid glance and clever way to speak. After I had a look to his portfolio, I remained truly surprised for the quality of his designs.
