PHILLIP KALANTZIS COPE

I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy as me this series of plane windows made by extraordinary photographer Phillip Kalantzis Cope. There’s something on this border between the familiar heterotopia and the shinny new world that waits -or remains- outside that round angled windows. Is a wonderful fascination that he captures with a dreamy atmosphere.

Amazing the submission by young photographer Miles Dixon and I’m sure you will agree with me that his portfolio is a great parade of lovely characters that usually live under our glance. Thanks Miles to bring them back to us with all their colors and wrinkles and resistance!

Nick DeWolf was an avid photographer who’s passed away, but —not to sound cliche— will live on through his photos.
His son-in-law is posting Nick’s scanned photos one by one on Flickr. The collection is at 50,000 so far!

A while ago, I discovered a project called Básicamente (basically) made by the extraordinary photographer Claudia Rodríguez Borja, and thanks to her kindness I can present you a small part of this series.
What I love in her photos are a confusing display of colors and textures, an inner travel on the backyard that leads to amazing discoveries. I particularly enjoy the mood that surrounds her micro quest: innocent, epic, abstract. And the eternal blue. The whole series is compiled in a book that you can also get here.

Nothing, but nothing can be better than Amalia Chimera’s pictures to take all my bad feelings and destroy them away. We could rely on her vintage polaroids recover all hope in humanity. Ace!
